Since 1999, Jim has perfected the art of listening to clients’ needs, and rigorously works to develop a sound investment plan for each client. The starting point of our long term relationship begins with developing a custom plan for you, based on your individual financial needs and goals.

Jim began his career as an investment Representative with Edward D. Jones & Co. in Olathe, KS. There, he developed a foundation of sound and fundamental investment knowledge. In 2005, Jim joined a seasoned team of advisors at Wells Fargo Advisors, focusing on high net worth families and small to medium sized institutions. In April of 2022, Jim and business partner Mark Sewalson took ownership of their firm by forming the Sewalson Milazzo Financial Consulting Group, LLC as independent registered investment advisors, registered with the SEC. Our firm today is proud to continue our long standing tradition of providing our clients with exceptional customer service, and a full suite of investment solutions to meet any need.

Jim grew up in Kansas city and is proud to give back to the local community through volunteering for several non-profit organizations.

Jim lives in Overland Park with his wife Kimberly. Together, they have 3 grown children, 3 grandchildren, and their German shorthaired Pointer, Bea. Jim and his family are members of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Olathe. Jim’s passions outside of the office include spending time with his family, attending sporting events, contemporary art and upland bird hunting.
